Churning Butter

To get butter for that dry, leftover cornbread, somebody had to keep the dasher moving on the old churn. All sorts of butter churns were used on American farms until well after World War II until this labor-intensive process almost died out.

It obviously hasn't everywhere. Just watch this woman in France making butter to lively music:
